The Hoover Valley Volunteer Fire & Rescue serves the Hoover Valley area of Burnet County, Texas, including Inks Lake State Park (1,201 acres), Inks Dam U.S. Fish & Wildlife Fish Hatchery (170 acres), Longhorn Cavern State Park (645.62 acres), Camp Buckner, & Camp Longhorn . The HVVFR district covers over 24.5 square miles (15,680 acres) along Park Road 4, FM 2342 and FM 3509 and borders the east side of the Upper Colorado Arm starting at Fm 1431 bridge of Lake LBJ and the eastern border of Inks lake. HVVFR proundly serves the Hoover Valley Area in Fire Protection, Rescue, & 1st Responders. HVVFR has Mutual Aid Agreements with all of Burnet County Fire Districts, North & South End Task Forces, The Texas Forestry Service & The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.
